Pine Lodge Fire First Report June 19, 2019

Incident Start Date: June 19, 2019  Cause: Unknown, Under Investigation Size: 30 acres            Containment: 0%      Incident Type: Wildfire Fire Strategy: Full Suppression         Fuel Type: Grass, Pinyon-Juniper, Mixed Conifer  Assigned: 6 Engines, 1 Helicopter, 1 Wildland Fire Module. 1 Air Attack, 2 Single Engine Air Tankers (SEATs). Additional resources have been ordered. Total Personnel: 35

Fire Update: Crews are responding to the Pine Lodge Fire on the Smokey Bear Ranger District on the Lincoln National Forest. The fire is approximately 30 acres.

An Ecoservant trail crew were doing trail work on the Capitan Peak Trail. They were all safely evacuated. No injuries were reported. At this time, it has been reported at least one structure and one vehicle have burned in the Pine Lodge Fire.

Multiple engines and fire personnel are on scene. Additional resources have been ordered. Powerlines have been turned off due to the proximity of the fire in order to ensure firefighter safety. There is a fire weather watch in effect until 9:00 pm tonight. Winds are coming out of the southwest at 20 to 25 mph. Humidity levels are 15%.
