Follow Me to the Senior Center – Larger Than Life

Larger than life could refer to an event, an object, or a person. For instance, the last weekend in April unknowingly I participated in the same spiritual event as my church pastor. That would be watching the NFL draft on ESPN. I know, ladies, for most of you that is not your idea of a larger than life event. As I’m writing this article, my wife is going out the door to attend the High Tea at the Methodist Church. Dressing up, eating hors d’oeuvres, hanging out with your girlfriends . . . what could be better than that? And on behalf of all us men, we’re glad it was ladies only! New Mexico Fishing Report

Saturday, June 1, is a free fishing day. No license is required to fish on New Mexico’s public waters. All other rules apply. This is a great day to take family members and neighbors fishing. Give it a try.

This fishing report, provided by Bill Dunn and the Department of Game and Fish, has been generated from the best information available from area officers and anglers. LNFALAMOGORDO, NM – May 22, 2013 – The Lincoln National Forest welcomes Forest Supervisor, Travis Moseley back to New Mexico!  The selection process for a new Forest Supervisor spanned almost seven months, following Dr. Robert G. Trujillo’s departure last fall. This critical leadership role was filled intermittently by two acting Forest Supervisors during back-to-back, consecutive 120-day details. The formal announcement that Moseley had been selected as the Lincoln’s new Forest Supervisor was made on March 29th. Read the remainder of this entry »

ALAMOGORDO, NM – May 09, 2013 – Fire restrictions will elevate to Stage II on the Smokey Bear and Sacramento Ranger Districts of the Lincoln National Forest, effective Saturday, May 11th, 2013, at 8:00 am.
