Follow Me to the Senior Center – Call for Backup

I had trouble trying to decide whether to title this month’s article ‘Call for Backup,’ or ‘Seriously, Woman, I’m 62!’ So, I’ll let you decide at the end of each short story what the right answer is. For example, my wife Jo Ann made a New Year’s resolution to be, let’s say, romantic with me every day of 2013. Yeah ~ where was that resolution when I was in my 30s, 40s, or even 50s? And, no, the answer is not ‘Call for Backup;’ it’s ‘Seriously, Woman, I’m 62!’ (You get the idea!) Read the remainder of this entry »

ALAMOGORDO, NM – February 6, 2013 – Updated Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM) are now available at all Lincoln National Forest offices. The maps display roads and trails within the Lincoln National Forest which are open to motorized uses, including highway vehicles, four-wheel drive, off highway vehicles (ATV’s), and motorcycles. Areas and/or sites that are available for roadside or dispersed camping are also identified on the maps. There are two maps that reflect the current updates, one for the Smokey Bear and Sacramento Ranger Districts; and one for the Guadalupe Ranger District.  The maps are free. Lincoln LIVE! At Alamogordo Public Library

ALAMOGORDO, NM – February 4, 2013 – The Alamogordo Public Library and the Lincoln National Forest are partnering up to provide monthly presentations on the first Thursday of each month, throughout the 2013 calendar year.
