National Get Outdoors Day – Fee Free Use on Lincoln National Forest

 

Alamogordo, NM (June 4, 2012) – National Get Outdoors Day will be observed on Saturday, June 9th, 2012, on the Lincoln National Forest.  To celebrate, the Lincoln National Forest will offer the recreation sites listed below for all to enjoy at no fee.

 

  • Fee-free sites for June 9th on the Smokey Bear Ranger District are:  Oak Grove Campground, Cedar Creek Picnic/Pavilion, and Three Rivers Campground.  Monjeau Campground, Skyline Campground, and Baca Dispersed Campground are always fee-free.
  • On the Guadalupe Ranger District, Sitting Bull Falls will be fee-free on Saturday, June 9th.
  • On the Sacramento Ranger District, James Canyon Campground, Upper and Lower Karr Campground, Bluff Springs and the Trestle Recreation Area are always fee-free.
