“High Hopes For The Cure” – Cloudcroft’s “Relay for Life” Team

By Tonia Beckler
This year, over 1.4 million Americans will hear the words “You have cancer”. I know too many people who are touched by cancer, and that is why I have joined the American Cancer Society on a mission to save lives and create a world with more birthdays by participating in the Relay For Life in my community.

Relay for Life is a life-changing event that helps communities across the globe celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against this disease that touches so many.

Susan Maynard, Team Captain

Susan Maynard, survivor and Team Captain, has spear-headed a Cloudcroft Team to raise money for the cause.  Cloudcroft’s “Relay for Life” team is “High Hopes for the Cure”.  Look for our booth at Mardi Gras and Mayfair in Cloudcroft, and come join us in Alamogordo in June for Relay for Life.

Please, support us in our efforts by using the link at the bottom of the page to visit my Relay for Life web page and make a donation. Every dollar raised brings us one dollar closer to a cure, and to a time when the number of people who have to hear the words “you have cancer” is zero. You can also get involved by becoming a team member. Go to http://relayforlife.org  and click on ‘Find an event’,  ‘Alamogordo’, then High Hopes For the Cure.

We are determined to make a difference, and I hope you will join us. We will be walking on June 16th and 17th in Alamogordo.

Thank you so much for your support. Together, we ARE saving lives and creating a world with more birthdays!
