I know too many people who are touched by cancer, and that is why I have joined the American Cancer Society on a mission to save lives and create a world with more birthdays by participating in the Relay For Life in my community.

Prescribed Burns on Smokey Bear Ranger District

Alamogordo, NM (February 17, 2012) –Smokey Bear Ranger District fire officials plan to conduct a prescribed burn of up to 104 acres behind the ranger station in Ruidoso in the next few weeks. The project is comprised mostly of slash created from a past fuels reduction project. Completion of this burn will reduce the potential for dangerous wildfire fire activity and improve overall forest health in the area. Read the remainder of this entry »
