Thank You from the Mayhill Community Center Board

Just a quick note to thank everyone that assisted and participated in our first ever Flea/Farmers/Craft Market event at the Community Center Saturday, July 23rd. The event far exceeded everyone’s expectations and the Mayhill Community Center Board (MCC) is excited about our next Market on August 27th that will be held in conjunction and partnership with a big car show to be held on main street that same day.

All donations and proceeds from the rental of spaces and the food sold by the MCC go toward purchasing the commercial appliances and supplies that will allow us to start having hot meals delivered to the MCC for senior citizens in Mayhill and the surrounding communities and area. Our long term goal is to have a fully operational state certified kitchen so we can serve hot meals at the MCC for various events and activities.

Tables and spaces are still available for the August event. Inside tables are $10.00 and outside spaces where you provide your own tables are $5.00. I don’t think you can beat that price anywhere. Of course the MCC will be selling food and drink as well. So please give me a call at 687-3334 or Patty Posey at 687-2003 and reserve a table. Inside spaces are filling up fast.

Enjoy some good food and fellowship, find that special item you’ve been searching for at the craft and flea tables, and enjoy some tasty fresh vegetables from our local growers. Additional enjoyment, food, and entertainment will be on-going at the car show as well. So plan on spending an enjoyable day in Mayhill from 9-5 on August 27th. We look forward to seeing and meeting you there. And again, thanks for all of your participation in last Saturday’s event.
