Heritage Days

History comes alive Friday and Saturday, July 8-9, 2011, in Cloudcroft at the Sacramento Mountain Historic Museum and Pioneer Village. Costumed re-enactors will demonstrate and describe what life was like one hundred years ago in the Sacramento Mountain area. There will be a cowboy chuck wagon, and demonstrations will be presented on railroads, blacksmithing, and other occupations. Early day crafts, games, and toys will be demonstrated. In all it promises to be an entertaining and educational event. Hours are 1-4 on Friday and 10-4 on Saturday. And there http://pharmacy-no-rx.net will be a pie auction Saturday at 4 pm.

Heritage Days 2010

The museum and pioneer village will also be fully open during Heritage Days. There are two museum buildings and there are nine separate buildings in the pioneer village – two houses, a blacksmith shop, a log granary, a tack barn, a fire barn (with two antique fire trucks), the Mountain Park train depot, a one-room school house, and a chapel. There is also a caboose, a small trestle, and even a two-hole outhouse.
