Cloudcroft School Board Approves 4-Day Week

The Cloudcroft School Board considered input from community members and teachers on the 4-day school week before approving the measure in a 3-1 vote. Superintendent Tommy Hancock addressed the board at the start of the meeting volunteering to take a 5% reduction of pay along with a 5% reduction in days worked. The following day Board member Arlan Ponder posted on his blog, that Amy Lane resigned after Monday night’s school board meeting. Lane who had her position of Assistant Superintendent changed to Special Education / Federal Programs Director resigned to take a position with the Alamogordo School District.
