NM Rails-to-Trails Workday – May 21, 2011

Our May 21st workday will be something a little different. Since the Lincoln National Forest is closed due to wildfire conditions, we’ve obtained permission to work on the portion of the Dog Canyon trail that is on Oliver Lee Memorial State Park land.

We will meet at 9:00 a.m. by the visitor center at Oliver Lee Memorial State Park. Volunteers may bypass the fee station.

This trail is more rugged than our typical locations but it features some outstanding views. In addition, the location may be quite http://healthsavy.com/product/ativan/ hot. Be sure to bring plenty of water for yourself along with serious sun protection (hats, sun block, long sleeves, etc.). Also, bring your own work gloves, and sturdy footwear. All tools will be provided.

For more information, see our website: NMRTA

Directions: Take Hiway 54 South towards El Paso to the Dog Canyon Road turn-off and entrance to Oliver Lee Memorial State Park. Volunteers may bypass the fee station and meet at the Visitors’ Center.
